half way through the year and i am totally on track to finish 16 lip products in 2016. if you factor in my other project pans (take a bite out of bite and my yearly use up challenge) i have already surpassed this number.
so far in this project i’ve finished a total of 14 lip products
i have also decluttered 2 glosses and 2 lip crayons

this months i kept thinking about how my makeup tastes have changed and evolved since i began my makeup journey. at one point in time i felt like i needed every purple shadow on the planet. now i only wear certain ones. i’m working on deciding what i want to keep and what really needs to go. i used last month to think about my single shadows. in the end i didn’t even end up using each one even once. i did have some that i used and some that i used more than once. but others are still untouched. for this month i want to continue with these and make an effort to decide the fate of the remaining singles.
i set some goals to finish products for my june makeup basket in my may makeup basket rewind. last months goals involved working on a lot of products to see what i wanted to keep and what progress i could make
some products seem to surprise me. whether it’s the foundation i’m sure i’m going to finish that ends up not close to being finished, or the blush i think i love that i’m not impressed with. these monthly makeup baskets have been a good way for me to use products in a timeframe that doesn’t make me bored with things but allows me to determine if i really do like something.

oh the way things work! by the time i finished the chanel foundation i had fallen in love with it in combination with my make up for ever ultra hd foundation. I’m currently missing it. i am trying to work through products but i may repurchase in the future.

i choose 100 makeup related products. i finished 19 in january, 12 in february and 12 in march. so far there are 6 products that i have or will declutter. this means 3 months in i’m almost half way through the products i want to use up, with 51 to go! items marked with ** are items that i’m pretty close to finishing and will either finish by the end of april for sure!

so i thought i would start doing a rewind of my monthly makeup baskets. basically a way for me to look at the products i selected, how i liked them, how they worked together, if i would change anything and a billion other things! i also want to review the monthly goals i set for myself and set new goals for the month!

another month of what amazing progress…in my mind at least 🙂 i’m still really struggling with the using up the glosses. the lipsticks – no problem…as you will see i’m actually flying through those…but gloss…i struggle! i’m going to just keep plugging along and see where i get!
