i went to sephora at the end of January and grabbed a sample of the becca backlight priming filter. a friend had tried this and her skin looking so glowing i knew i needed to try it. my skin is very dry – even more right now in the cold and dry canadian winter. i was very interested to see how this would look on my face!
what the sephora website says:
“What it is:
A makeup primer to help blur imperfections and impart a radiant glow.
What it does:
Backlight Priming Filter creates a canvas for your makeup, extending its wear from day to night. Infused with three unique Filtering Luminescent Pearls, each one adds a different drop of diffused light. Blended together, they impart a one-of-a-kind, lightweight, whipped fluid that creates a smooth canvas and acts as an instant filter, while the vitamin E-enriched formula minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Backlighting acts as an instant filter, creating a diffused, soft-focused radiance that allows your complexion to catch light for a glowing look. Infused with Becca’s proprietary blend of crushed pearls, this primer achieves a lit-from-within, healthy-looking effect. ”
what sparklez says:
i’m in love! this primer does exactly what it says its going to do. it blurs imperfections while creating a luminous glow. this makes your skin look healthy and like you have that glow from within. it is lightweight and provides the perfect base to my makeup. i’m not sure it really helps with lasting power but that is fine by me!
final verdict:
this is a big ol’ yassss for me!!! the becca backlight priming filter gave me luminous skin and worked so well for my dry skin. this retails for $46 CAD on both the sephora and the hudsons bay website and for me that is well worth it!
